For our team, we are looking for an Accountant who would maintain bookkeeping operations and administrative tasks mainly for our Polish entity: Recruitee Sp. z o.o. This will be our first finance role in Poland! The rest of our Finance Team (5 people) is split over Poland and the Netherlands. You will report to the Finance Manager who works closely with the Finance Director. Both are located in the Amsterdam office.

What you'll be doing:
Accurate and complete recording of all transactions in Exact Online bookkeeping system, including creating invoices to Dutch entity Recruitee B.V.
Completing month-end close procedures for Recruitee Sp. z o.o. within the set deadlines, and potentially support the rest of the team with the month-end close for Recruitee B.V. and Recruitee Inc.
Preparing payment batches in the bank system.
Keeping track of rules and regulations within Poland (finance, tax-related).
Coordinating ad hoc finance or tax-related questions (with external advisors if necessary).

What you’ll bring to the team:
At least 2 years experience in a finance or accounting department in Poland.
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping rules within Poland and tax system.
General knowledge of submitting VAT or other tax applications.
Experience or good practical skills in Excel (Google Sheet or Microsoft Excel).
Good knowledge of Polish and English language.
Nice to have:
Practical knowledge of bookkeeping rules within Poland and tax system.
Proven experience in handling VAT applications.
Ability to handle good and timely communication towards external and internal stakeholders.
