Lead Recruitee’s product teams and optimize the way our application is delivered.
As Recruitee grows into 2021 and beyond, we’re on the lookout for a Director of Engineering who will lead the people and manage the product development process. Your mission is split into 2. On the one hand, you’ll be a mentor and a leader to the people in the product teams. It will be your job to ease out obstacles in the organisation to unleash their full potential and operational execution. On the other hand, you’ll optimise the product development process for our platform, allowing for a predictive product release cycle and a better delivery process. This is a high-impact role in our fast-growing and international team.
About The Team
All of Recruitee’s tech and product talent is located in Poland. We are 60+ team members across three offices; Poznan, Wroclaw, and a countless number of home offices in different locations. You will report directly to our Chief Technology Officer and work closely with the Chief Product Officer. Your team will consist of 7 highly skilled members that report to you, mainly heads of development and project managers who also manage their own teams – this all adds up to an overall structure of 30 passionate and committed individuals.
What you will be responsible for:
Lead the product teams through management and mentorship.
Develop standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent.
Lead and optimise product development and product delivery.
Supervise project management and product tracking systems.
Mentor managers and tech leads.
Help with budget preparation and hiring plans.
Help with recruitment activities and overall hiring strategy.
Collaborate with the CTO/Co-founder and the CPO on the engineering roadmap and product innovations & vision.
What you’ll bring to the team:
3+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams.
You are comfortable in leading a team size of 30+ developers and managers.
Proven work experience in guiding technical delivery of applications/products.
Previous track record in an engineering area (development preferable).
Hands-on experience in cloud/SaaS/enterprise software.
Experience in hiring and retaining top talent and managing high growth in teams.
Strong sense of product challenges and ability to collaborate with the product & business counterparts as a partner at eye-level.
You’re a great communicator, quickly engaging with people and improving the flow of information in an organisation.
Committed to a culture of modern product engineering.
Perfect command of Polish, both spoken and written.
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
