Build, scale and own Recruitee’s outbound sales engine


Your Mission

We’re looking for an outstanding Head of Business Development who’ll build, scale and own our outbound sales engine for the US & DACH markets. Your mission? Create an outbound blueprint that allows Recruitee to generate pipelines that our Account Executives will close. To help you create that blueprint and hit the ground running, you’ll be partnering up with external agencies in the US and DACH markets. Your job will be to manage those agencies and the teams of Business Development Representatives that come with them. You can expect a large amount of freedom in your position for experimenting to prove what works and whatnot. This is a high-impact role in our fast-growing and international team.


About the Team 

You’ll be the first and most important part of Recruitee’s Outbound Team. Your mission is the team’s mission and that is to futureproof the sales pipelines (and with that the company) and build outbound from scratch. The external teams of Business Development Representatives are an extension of you that will help on this journey. You report directly to our Sales Director.


Your 12-month journey
The first couple of months you’ll spend focusing on learning everything about Recruitee: understand the product, our customer base and their needs and the ATS space. You’ll start building the foundation of the outbound processes and relationships with the agencies.


After 3 months you’ll have set up the basics of the operational process and will continuously improve it based on experimenting and proper feedback loops. You’ll align the in-house Account Executives in the process of the outbound leads.


After 12 months you’ve created a proven outbound blueprint which houses a repeatable revenue-generating operation. Think we need to bring the whole operation in-house? You tell us why!


What you’ll do

  • Set and build the foundation for business development at Recruitee ready to scale.

  • Lead a BDR team focused on the US and DACH markets.

  • Implement, improve, and standardize key BD processes in service of driving consistent and repeatable motions that predictably drive revenue growth.

  • Develop and validate new strategies for prospecting and outbound efforts that can be scaled in terms of team size and new markets.

  • Leverage tools and best practices to optimize prospecting efficiency.

  • Establish KPI metrics to measure the effectiveness of BDRs’ lead generation and qualification efforts.


Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 2+ years of experience building, scaling and leading a Business Development team.

  • 4+ years experience in SaaS sales.

  • Proven success in an individual contributor role (BDR/BDM/SDR etc.)

  • A deep understanding of outbound selling and prospecting in order to translate into BDR guidelines and playbooks.

  • English Native language skills,

  • Working knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus.

  • Top-notch communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
