Your mission

As our Head of Sales Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the evolution of Recruitee’s solution approaches. You will be tasked with building, training and managing a team of Sales Engineers, while overseeing the solutions prescribed, estimated and developed by this team. You & your team will be responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation and validation stages of the sales process. The Sales Engineers in your team will work with Recruitee's most important prospects and you will help Recruitee move upmarket & win more RFPs!

About the team

You will be part of Recruitee’s sales organisation and will report to our Director of Sales. Your peers will be the Head of Sales Benelux and Country manager DACH. Besides, you will work closely together with our Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing departments.

12-month journey

In the first 3 months, you’ll focus on learning everything about Recruitee: understanding the product, the technical framework of our software, the target markets, our customers & their requirements, etc. You will start analysing our sales processes to see what technical support is needed and what needs to be improved. You will also start defining the tasks and KPIs for your team while kicking off the hiring.

After 6 months, you will have come up with a vision and created a strategy for sales engineering at Recruitee. You will have set up your team of Sales Engineers and started involving detailed technical information in our sales approach. You’ll help the sales team in discovering, articulating, and demonstrating Recruitee's solution to deliver on specific customer requirements and desired business outcomes.


After 12 months, you will have contributed to a substantial increase in the conversion rate of our 200+ customers (your efforts will be seen by the number of won RFPs). Besides, you will have helped refine our sales processes by removing frictions and facilitating the collaboration between the sales and legal teams.

Job requirements

What you’ll do

  • Set up the SE team: hire, mentor and develop an exceptional team of Sales Engineers.

  • Develop strategies and operations to improve win rates by helping the sales team discover, articulate, and demonstrate Recruitee's solution to deliver on specific customer requirements and desired business outcomes.

  • Identify and lead initiatives and programs to scale the organization and its operations for future growth.

  • Develop processes, metrics and KPIs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of technical evaluations, workshops, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements.

  • Partner with Sales, Legal and Finance to align on overall strategy & priorities and provide support for specific prospects, customers and partners.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Services teams to provide feedback to improve products, services and value messaging based on field experiences and feedback.


What you’ll bring

  • 2 years of leadership experience: demonstrated ability to lead a technical sales team (hire, develop and motivate a team).

  • Established proficiency in building strategies and operations for technical assessment processes and team enablement.

  • Basic knowledge of financial analysis and ROI calculations.

  • Technical experience in SaaS: setting up key metrics, processes, understanding APIs, understanding of data storage- & regulation-related subjects.

  • Strong collaboration skills: ability to work together with other departments closely.
