Lead Recruitee’s People Team on the road to 300 Recruitees and beyond
Recruitee is growing fast, and our people are our most important asset. We’re growing towards a team of 300 people within 18 months and won’t stop there. We’re on the lookout for a HR Director who’ll lead this transformation and help double the team.
About the team
The People Team’s mission is to build a high performing organisation by bringing Recruitee’s teams to the next level. You, as our HR director, will lead that mission. You’ll report to the CFO and oversee the entire People Team existing of the Talent Team (Head of Talent plus 4 Recruiters) & the People Operations Team (Head of People plus 1 L&D specialist and 2 People Ops Specialists)
Your 12-month journey
The first three months are about getting to know Recruitee, our people, the team, the goals, and everything that’s already in place, including specific systems, policies, communication channels and meeting structures. In these three months, you’ll put your vision and HR plan together. Also, you’ll help prioritise and shape the People Team’s OKR’s.
After six months, the HR processes are improved and made to set up for growth. The EVP has taken shape, and a global kick-off of the values is planned. The Research for an HRIS is done, and a first implementation plan is created.
Before your 1 year Recruitee anniversary, the 2023 plan is done: creating hiring and onboarding plans and performance management is key.
After 1 year you start the plan for 2024. The HRIS is implemented and monitored closely. Monthly structured HR reporting is done and answers all questions and sets the direction for actions to take.
What you’ll do
Determine HR strategy (and monitor execution!)
Set the team up for success (coach, mentor, set direction and prioritise)
Talent Acquisition (challenge, monitor, set goals, set needs (budget) and prioritise)
Performance Management (challenge, monitor, set timelines and expectations, set guidelines for salary raises)
Make sure policies and specific matters are consistent with strategic direction (growth, and focus in certain markets) and are compliant with local regulations
Monitor and coordinate improvements in people operations processes
Challenge the status quo
Manage the budget for the HR department
Lead the budget and forecasting of FTE across the whole company (set deadlines, communication, expectations, and challenges)
Monitor and challenge the use of freelancers in the whole company
Drive and coordinate improvements in HR reporting to analyse data and take the right action (e.g. sickness rates, hiring speed)
Sparring partner for managers in employee matters
→ all actions are for all companies (Amsterdam, Poland, USA, and future Germany office)
What you’ll bring to the team
5+ years experience in leading a People Team
Experience in a company with multiple offices/entities outside NL
Experience in a scale-up
Experience in inspiring a culture and taking a company to the next level (ability to inspire others with a strong HR vision)
Experience in building HR operations efficiency and internal controls in a growing company (not only planning but also execution!)
Experience in Talent acquisition and employer branding
Strong personality and result-driven
Strategic and positive mindset
Drive to create a unique culture
Analytical and data-driven and uses this in the decision-making process
Proactive, clear and structured in communications and actions
