Lead, Maintain & Iterate Recruitee’s Global Localization Strategy

You Mission 

As our Localization Manager, you’ll own all of Recruitee’s localization projects from start to finish. Your mission will be to lead, maintain and iterate the localization strategy. You will work with a group of stakeholders to ease the delivery of localized content from marketing, product, sales, and support teams to our customers around the world. Currently, Recruitee fully localizes in Dutch, German, French, and English with limited Nordic and Polish language product capabilities. Your job is all about consistency, scaling and stay ahead of localization trends. You’ll consistently localize content with the Recruitee’s tone of voice, set up a scalable system that allows you to process high amounts of incoming content and continuously follow the localization trend to stay ahead of the curve. 

About the team 

The marketing team's mission is building the Recruitee Brand (=telling the story) & Driving Revenue (=generating demand). The team consists of 20+ people divided into different subteams — Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative and Content & Buzz.

Your 12-month journey 

The first couple of months you’ll spend focusing on learning everything about Recruitee: understand the product, the teams and the current localization strategy and processes. 

After 3 months you’ve fully onboarded and know your way around the well-oiled localization processes. You’ve got a perfect understanding of Recruitee’s tone of voice in all of our content. 

After 12 months, you’ve built scalable processes that consistently produce localized content that sounds natural and engages and conveys the brand and product message on every level while attracting customers on a global scale. 

What you’ll do 

  • Own the localization strategy, ensuring a consistent user experience across all Recruitee's mediums

  • Be closely involved in developing and executing our market expansion strategy 

  • Work with the product marketing team to manage the translation and localization of everything from in-app content and website copy to marketing collateral.

  • Manage the relationship with translation services/freelancers and coordinate localization projects

  • Centralize the localization effort within Recruitee by working with multiple stakeholders (Product, Sales, Marketing) to share knowledge, outcomes, and feedback around localization and internationalization 

  • Coordinate internal and external resources on an ongoing basis to ensure scalable translations within the product (currently using Phrase App and Weglot)

  • Document workflows and keep open communication channels with other team members to share ideas, best practices, and tools

  • Maintaining Recruitee's localized glossary and style guides

Job requirements

What’ll you bring to Recruitee

  • 2+ years of content/localization management experience

  • Working knowledge of Translation Management Systems (e.g. Phrase App, Weglot)

  • Tech-savvy with an understanding of SaaS products

  • Experience with project management (ideally within SaaS)

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and questioning current practices

  • Excellent English communication skills, both in writing and in speaking

  • French, German, or Dutch is a bonus

  • Comfortable coordinating localization and translation projects in languages you do not speak

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate proactively

  • Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving experience coupled with excellent business judgment

  • Very detail-oriented, quality-focused, and proactive
